Originally from Iceland and educated in Sweden,   

                                                     

Canada became the much dreamed of home for Gudrun Girgis when she emigrated there in her early twenties.

A successful businesswoman and entrepreneur, she answered a spiritual calling when she began her sculpting studies with George Pratt and other masters of the art in the United States, Sweden, Germany and Mexico. Now, she also teaches sculpting at her studio in Ontario, Canada.

                                                 

Her works have been shown on three continents in corporate, private and public collections in Australia, Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Iceland, and the United States. 

Working in marble, granite, lapis lazuli, feldspar, alabaster and jasper, her work has been exhibited in the:
